Ashley Monroe

Ashley Monroe, a singer-songwriter of country music from the United States. Following the release of two singles and an album titled Satisfied in 2007 she formed the group Pistol Annies with Angaleena Presley and Miranda Lambert and released her 2nd album called Like a Rose in 2013. Ashley Monroe Performing with Blake SheltonIn 2015 she came up The Blade, her follow-up album. The Blade, another album that brought her immense popularity and high praise. Ashley Monroe has been in public service for more than fifteen years and has spent five of those years as deputy city manager in Iowa City. The Village Manager's Assistant's duties include managing the Community Development and Building Department, coordinating grants and completion of special projects. In Riverside Ashley supports everyday operations of the village's services, while also implementing the strategic vision of elected officials and the community. Ashley's responsibilities include planning for municipal services, budgeting, management of staff and collective bargaining. Ashley also focuses on environmental initiatives. Because of her involvement with national organizations and work in communities with diverse populations, Ashley has gained an understanding of the many complexities and differences when it comes to the ways public agencies work. Ashley's course focuses on contemporary methods of the management of public affairs and leaders from the viewpoint of an experienced practitioner. The emphasis she places on the need to adapt ethical and strategic making to the needs of the present and how to navigate relationships between government and communities gives context and advice for professionals working within public organizations.
